AIRPARK ASSOCIATION
NOTICE TO MEMBERS
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF FLOATPLANE RAMP
Dear Airpark Members.
1. Please be advised that the recent rain & snow storms, King Tides and
heavy water flow in the Airpark waterway have damaged the floatplane
ramp and rendered it unusable until repairs can be done. Work is currently
underway to fully assess the damage and develop a repair plan with an
appropriate contractor. In the meantime, the floatplane ramp has been
NOTAM’d closed. All floatplane operators are advised not to use the
floatplane ramp until further notice.
2. Also, please be aware that the access gate to the floatplane ramp was
damaged by a City of Courtenay vehicle in the course of the most recent
snowstorm. City workers advised the President of the Airpark Association
today that repairs to the gate will be done by the City as soon as the
contractor (Tower Fence) is available.
3. Members will be advised when the repairs to the access gate and
floatplane ramp have been completed.
