Thanks very much for your interest in the TEXADA AEROSPACE CAMP.

The 2025 camp is expected to be from Wednesday July 24, to Saturday July 27. The fee for 2024 was $220, and we will set a similar fee for 2025. The purpose of the Texada Aerospace Camp is to immerse youth aged 10 to 15 years in the basics of aviation and aerospace sciences using unique training aids specifically designed and built by experienced volunteers – aircraft maintenance engineers, software developers, pilots and scientists, among others. It is a daytime hours only camp, with families responsible for getting their youth to camp and picking them up. The curriculum consists mainly of hands-on learning, combined with select engaging presentations.

Sample Texada Aerospace Camp lessons are:

• Principles of flight and aircraft construction
• Detailed flight simulator instruction
• Parachute basics
• Astrophysics
• Metal working
• Electronics
• Aerospace careers
• Fire safety/fire extinguisher use
• Aerospace anthropology
• Familiarization flight in a real airplane

Please note that the camp is during the daytimes only, and that a responsible adult must bring their youth to camp and pick them up afterwards.
